Wired Sussex is a membership organisation supporting the development of the regional creative, digital and tech cluster. Following on from the success of last year’s Talent festival, they held a 3 day festival to support the growth and sustainability of Brighton’s digital sector: Talent2018. I organised the Digital, Media & Tech Jobs Fair at Brighton Dome, the Skills Summit – a conference for business leaders to discuss how to retain talent and the Portfolio Clinic with local design companies. Over 1000 attended over the 3 days. I pulled in a record amount of sponsorship, commissioned the new website, branding and brochure; motivated a lively bunch of volunteers and sold over 30 jobs stands as well as sourcing diverse speakers from Brighton’s digital industry.
